What Country or City Will You Visit This Summer?
Who doesn't love to travel and with the summer approaching I thought of a campaign about my favorite cities. Since I also love way too many movies which happened to be shot in many of these cities, I will combine the two topics. In the past, whenever I was about to visit a new city I used to watch movies with the same location in order to help me associate the streets and monuments with it and feel a sense of familiarity. The first time I did this was in 1999 when I traveled for the first time to New York City with my parents. I decided to watch Home Alone 2: Lost in New York over and over again. Many years later I did it again before travelling to Paris watching Amélie, Breathless with Jean Seberg and many other movies.
If you decide to travel to Paris this summer and even if you are not, I recommend this great classic with Jean-Paul Belmondo.
I know many people have heard of the Amelie, however if you still have not seen it I beg you please see it. I promise you won't regret it. How do I know? My boyfriend who is Italian and therefore doesn't think much of the French movie industry has watched it and said it's "actually very nice." If he was able to appreciate this masterpiece, anybody will.
Picture with my favorite people. More about Paris and lovely movies in the next post.
